Unfortunatley due to an ankle operation on an old injury Garry had to sit out the whole of 2004 but has now taken delivery of his RS250 Honda for 2005. The machine has been tuned by former racer and 2 stroke Guru Ian Emberton.

Garry completed a practice/ running in day at Cadwell park last week and felt the bike was spot on, he commented " It had no end of drive out of corners and keeps pulling really strong all the way through the rev range, Ian Emberton has done a great job on the motor, I just can't wait to race it now".

A former schoolboy motocrosser, Garry turned to Road racing in 1983 at the age of 18. His first race was at Elvington on a 125 Yamaha. Below is a list of Career bests.

3rd 125cc Marlboro clubmans series
1st Retford 125cc Championship(45 wins !!)

1986 ACU British 125 Champion !!

1987

Won International 125 race at Olivers Mount Scarboro.
Garry finished 10th at Assen European round and was top British rider!!

1989

Garry switched to F2 sidecars & and won the Darley Moor Championship, also had numerous top 10 National finishes.

Garry in 2nd place on the podium at Carnaby Marlboro Clubmans 1985 beaten only by Mr Whitham himself !!

THE 90's

1990 F2 sidecar Aintree Club Champion setting lap & race records 5 times over !!

1996

After a break of 5 years Garry returned to the solo classes and finished
3rd Shell Oils Series

1997

4th Shell Oils Series
3rd in Scarboro Championships

1998

5th ACU Clubmans Series 125
4th Scarboro Championships.

1999

3rd Aberdare park Road Races (1st visit)
3rd Scarboro Championships

2000 and beyond

2000

3rd Aberdare Park in his only race of the season.

2001

Competed in British superstock but due to complications withdrew mid season.

2002

Aprilla RS 250 Challenge Cup 6th
Aberdare Park 125 National 3rd.

2003

Garry sustained a broken wrist on his first outing on the SS Tuning R6 Yamaha which put him out of serious contention for the MRO Championship at the very start.
Garry's first proper meeting was again the Welsh Road circuit of Aberdare Park where he finished 3rd on Stewart Smiths 250 Honda,this was Garry's first ever ride on a pukka GP 250.

This was added to with two 4th places on the Stealth Honda 125

Garry made a return to Olivers Mount after a 4 year lay off for the Scarboro Gold Cup. On Stewart Smiths 250 Honda Garry finished 3rd in the LEE PULLAN MEMORIAL RACE and 4TH in PHIL MELLOR MEMORIAL RACE.

Also Garry managed very creditable 2nd and 4th places on the Stealth Honda 125, taking 2nd place over the two legs.
